Florists

Why can't wedding planning be easy? We've chosen blue and orange but i think it's going to hard to make it work without going out to rent extra stuff. I have a sudden liking to pink & Green. Anyway will discuss with him tonight..

Anyway for florist, i was considering
1. Vidabela - but she's not available
So pretty right? I'm thinking of white flowers with blue or orange big big ribbon.

2. Petal dance
This one is a japanese lady called Yoko. Recommended by Zen garden. She seems to be really helpful when i emailed her. However, im not sure yet. Will meet up and see more of her photos

3.Blossom Wedding flowers
This one seems good too. I've emailed them and see what their packages are. I want to find freelance florist than shops as they seem to be more reasonable?

Sigh so much to do!!!

I think i will use birds of paradise/peonies for table centrepieces.I think these peonies are lovely!

Photographers

Alright

So we've narrowed down to this two photographers
aaronphoto.co.nz
jelphoto.co.nz
Finally decided to go with Jel as we love their photos more + a great package.
Basically we are getting all images, a photo book, dvd with music, a big A0 canvas for NZD4200. Reasonable i reckon!

We looked at Bruce gabites, Bayly and Moore, Shine studios (too expensive) and even one of my friend.

Glad we've locked this in! So 27th december 2011 is the DATE!

KVE vs Markovina

Right..so we have a look at the venues today. It's a crappy day but we love both of the venues. Now we are undecided. Sigh

At least we got photographer sorted - we are going to use www.jelphoto.co.nz

Decorations

Right, so i was squeezing my brain tight to visualize how i want my wedding to look like. I've decided to incorporate pomander balls.

Anyway these are so pretty. So i went to spotlight and bought some white foam roses and made this:

Not bad ayeeee....too bad i ran out of flowers so the bottom is bald. I decided to go on ebay and found 240 roses for only 40 nzd!! Thats cheaper than spotlight 12 for $9! pft

Venues

Just when you thought you have reached one milestone, something set back and now we are back to square one. LOL
We are now skeptical to go with zen garden because the florist (Yoko) sent me a photo and the room looks so crammed. She advised me not to design a huge centrepiece for the table, which is not to my liking.

So after hours of googling and comparing, we are viewing two venues this weekend.
This is markovina vineyard in kumeu. The reception area seems huge with vines. So will be great to decorate. Best thing? 12k including food, hire and boooooze. So 22 can get drunk
THis other one is kumeu valley estate. A bit further away but it has like 18 good reviews on a website. So, thought we may as well check it out. Great thing is no venue hire $$ wor. Zen garden has $5k venue hire fees!!!!

Proposal - 18/08/2011 1.30 am

I thought ill start with our proposal story. We are flying back home on 18/08/2011 6.00pm. So the night before, we decided to go out to Paris city at night to take photos (Jason's idea)

We had dinner the night before at his uncle's house. And when we are all ready to go, Jason forgot "something" and rushed into the house to get it. I was annoyed hehe

Our first stop was moulin rouge.
This is the crowd that witnessed our engagement!!

Then we drove to the lourve to take photos.

Final destination is mr eiffel.
It was pretty empty at Palais de Challiot. I told Jason "This will be a perfect place for a proposal" and gave him the evils. Then i went on to take photos as i was engrossed in taking in the sights.

Jason stopped taking photos and started hugging me.
Jason: I wish i can propose to you here. Wish i have a ring
Viv: YES! oh well guess NZ will have to do -_-
Jason: How about this...*take something out of bag*
Viv: O_O *look at jason* - thinking it's pandora anniversary present
Jason: *Dropped something*
Viv: *even more confused*
Jason: *Kneels down and hold the box in his hand and opened it*
Viv: OMG
Jason: will you marry me bubbi?
Viv: OMG OMG OMG yessssssssssssssssssss

Then we hugged etc and i cried cos i didn't expect it at all. It was really quite romantic. He said he wants me to be his wife and mother of his children (yes all he thinks about are kids) hehe
Then i said i will listen to him forever (well i lied).

I was impressed with the ring. It is amazing.
